The Gige camera come with a serial RS232 port, This port can’t be used to change the camera parameter, like exposure time,gain. This port is used to control the RS232 device like, PTZ, lens over the Gige interface. The RS232 pin output voltage is compatible with RS232 signal, so standard PC serial port could connect to it directly, no level shift is required.
