It is possible to use GigE cameras in 10/100 speed mode.
Operating conditions:
- Crossover cable is not needed.
- StreamBytesPerSecond <= 12,000,000. With some NIC hardware, this may need to be even lower (<8,000,000).
- PacketSize = 1500. With some NIC hardware, this may need to be lower (<1024).
It is advisable to set the StreamBytesPerSecond and PacketSize in a powerup configuration file for the camera.
NOTE:
Using GigE cards forced to 100Mbps/Full Duplex in Link Speed settings is not the same as 100Mbps Auto Negotiate mode. The Auto Negotiate process must exist/be enabled for the camera to be recognized by the NIC.
